I was given beautifully decorated and well-appointed room with a thermostat and a patio and the condition. I had an exceptional meal in the morning and some good food at the downstairs bar. All the staff was professional and greeted me warmly.

Restaurants, service, bartenders were fabulous
Rooms were somewhat odd. Under-decorated. No coffee makers in the rooms and there are shutters, not blackout curtains. Just different.

The service was good and the rooms were updated. the location was favourable, adjacent to the center, interior of the building, and the mountain. - There was an in-house restaurant nearby. Rewritten: The service was impressive, and the rooms had a modern touch. the location was great, close to the city center, the building's interior, and the scenic mountain views. Plus, there was a convenient in-house restaurant just a stone's throw away.

A funky hotel, with great food, great indoor and outdoor bars, steps from the University of Kansas campus.
It was great! Much better "everything" in their second (or 3rd? year of operation.

We stayed here because our kids were at the KU soccer camp. We enjoyed the luxury, and the room and bathroom was very roomy. Loved the feeling of being in a castle. Also loved how we could walk to the camp every night to watch the scrimmages.
