great location but lacking in dining options
The location is fantastic! Being close to the university was a major plus for us during our college visit. The room was clean and spacious, comfortable for our family with children. The views from the hotel were also good.
The breakfast experience left something to be desired.

Beautiful hotel. Very convenient to campus where our meetings took place. Very friendly staff, especially the early morning guy at the coffee bar.
I liked everything about the Oread.

I was given beautifully decorated and well-appointed room with a thermostat and a patio and the condition. I had an exceptional meal in the morning and some good food at the downstairs bar. All the staff was professional and greeted me warmly.

Restaurants, service, bartenders were fabulous
Rooms were somewhat odd. Under-decorated. No coffee makers in the rooms and there are shutters, not blackout curtains. Just different.

We loved visiting the historic stadium and checking out the local art scene. The hotel's location made it super easy to explore the campus and surrounding area. Our rooms werevery comfy and tidy, perfect for our group hanging out together.
The breakfast was a letdown. It was a tiny buffet with really bad coffee, which we hoped would be better given the hotel price.

A funky hotel, with great food, great indoor and outdoor bars, steps from the University of Kansas campus.
It was great! Much better "everything" in their second (or 3rd? year of operation.

The location was fantastic, being so close to the
University of Kansas campus. The rooftop view was amazing, and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast options were quite limited and overpriced, disappointing.

Beautiful exterior decor and main floor lobby and restaurants. The bed and pillows were so comfortable.
No bathtub to relax in. Tv did not work so I contacted the front desk. Staff made no effort to accommodate us with a fix or a different room or any option...then got the run-around when I tried to address it with the front desk the next morning. I go to a hotel to relax, unwind, watch movies, and have service... I finally got a call about 9 hours later (when I was back home) saying they would give me a $25 discount. Big deal... Customer service definitely lacking. I work in the service industry myself and I never would have responded the way they did. Will I go back? Probably not. I thought I was paying for a luxury hotel...

We stayed here because our kids were at the KU soccer camp. We enjoyed the luxury, and the room and bathroom was very roomy. Loved the feeling of being in a castle. Also loved how we could walk to the camp every night to watch the scrimmages.

The architecture is interesting and unique. The bar staff was friendly, and. It brought back memories of my road trips in the U.S. With my partner. The vibe brought excitement reminiscent of country music themes. I appreciated the friendly interactions and the ambiance of the place.
